The results were lasting, some severe and big, while some were small and unnoticeable.The American Civil War was a horrible event in the history of the world which started from three main causes: slavery, the dispute over states rights, and a division between the North and South. The war ended because of the dedication and warfare tactics of many heroes and enemies. The Civil War started on April 12, 1861 and ended four years later (World Book, 614).
