He states in his poem that his mother took him to communist meetings and they were pleasant, the people were angelic and friendly and that he didnt regret being a communist when he was young.These two pieces of writing are different because Eisenhower is telling what he has done to help. It is an inspirational piece that shows hope that there may one day be piece in the world if everyone does their part. Ginsbergs piece is full of rage and hate. He criticizes what America does but does not offer to help in any way. He states its true I do not want to join the army. Ginsberg believed in spontaneity and just doing thing for the moment whereas Eisenhower believes in being ready for what may come makes a nation stronger.The completely different upbringing relates to the different views each man has. Eisenhower being very conservative and Ginsberg being just the opposite, very liberal. Yet through all the different views they have they still want the same for there country. Neither man wants to go to war, they both want piece. Eisenhower helps in the change where Ginsberg just states that there is a problem and criticizes everyone who has any thing to do with it.Eisenhower believed that having a strong military would help to stay away from war and brought America into the atomic and air superiority. Eisenhower wanted to be strong in technologies in the military but he knew military spending would be a burden in America if the military was huge. While he was in office the military spending fell 17%.Eisenhower and Ginsberg both cared about the people in general and wanted awareness so people weren't selfish to the needs of other people.
