The bullet entering and exiting the President’s head and neck are another piece of evidence. However conspiracy-oriented books do not use this evidence because it disproves the conspiracy theory. This evidence is also called the Single Bullet theory. The theory is that the bullet that hit the President passed through him and hit Governor Connally. NASA scientist, Thomas Canning, researched the theory. Canning studied the films and found that the President and Connally line up so that the Single Bullet theory could have happened. Also a man named John Lattimer did an experiment that helped in proving that the Single Bullet theory could happen. He used pork legs with the skin still on as a substitute for the President’s neck. It seems unreal and crazy, but a pork leg is actually very close to a human neck in its texture and thickness. Lattimer then found neckties that were the same and the one President wore that fatal day. He also made a pork leg neck to represent Connally. He lined these “necks” up in the same distance that the President was from Connally and shot at the “necks” from the same distance and position as Lee Harvey Oswald. When the “necks” were examined after the shooting it showed that the Single Bullet theory had worked. He tried this on several more pork leg necks and all came with the same conclusion as the first.
