However in an interview with Abraham Zapruder’s secretary, who was helping him that day, it was determined that the shady figure dropping something was really a black couple that dropped a Coke bottle when the shots were fired.The puffs of smoke seen on the Grassy Knoll were also used as evidence of shots being fired from a “second gunman.” A few people only saw this puff of smoke. Zapruder’s secretary, Marilyn Sitzman, was very near to the spot where the puff of smoke was supposed to have been. Marilyn Sitzman reported seeing nothing other than the black couple dropping a soda bottle. Most likely the puff of smoke seen was really sun reflected off the breaking bottle or is was fall foliage falling from the nearby tree.Other “evidence” of a second gunman often seen in conspiracy-oriented books is the President’s head jerking back at the moment when he was shot. This action is shown in the Zapruder film. Since the President was facing the Grassy Knoll it is argued that the shot that hit the President came from the second gunman on the Grassy Knoll.
