e been able to pull the Teamsters off the ground after the Beck fiasco as Hoffa had. Now he left the door open to his primary associates to continue the work he started. It is quite evident that the underground connections the Teamsters have as an organization are there to stay. No matter who comes or goes, the Mafia still wants to play with the money of the working man to earn a quick buck. Hoffa was an extremely capable man who tried to maintain a happy medium between his members and his connections. Undoubtedly, the mafia forced some deals to ensure their partners would have better deals for business owners they liked and union members would be well taken care of in areas of high mafia activity. Through all the conflict of interests and continued harassment by Kennedy, Hoffa could possibly be the best General President of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Particularly after his forced resignation to serve his sentence, Hoffa was severely missed with the leadership and enthusiasm he brought to the Teamsters in his every day work....
