Abortion what is it, why do we have it, and is it wrong? These are just a few questions people have about abortion. In this paper I will try to educate you on certain topics about abortion. There are many diffrent issues on abortion, but I am only going to cover a few of them. One issue is based on a religious point of view. Many people believe that if you are catholic you are against abortion. This only stands true in the church, because many catholic people do believe in abortion. This brings up many diffrent issues in the church. The church was generally supportive of the liberal development as long as Catholic women maintained objectives moral standers regarding sexuality and human life, but the issue of abortion was a diffrent matter. Once a distinct living person is formed in the womb, the mother does not have absolute right over this separate person. The fetus is not just a glob of protoplasm or an instructive biological force, but it is a distinct living person with a soul. In the article entitled The Moral and Legal Status of Abortion, Mary Anne Warren attempts to move beyond the stalemate in the debate over who is a human. The typical argument against abortion, she claims, begins with the universal truism of moral consideration that it is wrong to kill a human beings. The pro-life advocate then develops a simple syllogism based on this first major premise. These two premises being, Fetuses are innocent human beings. These two premises together force the intellect to conclude that it is wrong to kill a fetus. No matter what way you look at it abortion goes a lot farther then just your religious beliefs. Which brings me to the issue of being a liberal or a conservationist. It is a strange reversal of roles these days for people who call themselves liberal to be supporters of abortion while those who are opposed to abortion are called conservative.
