Be eager to make students your partners. Treat them with respect and dignity while encouraging personal development.•In the former, emphasis was based on imporoving student behavior. In thelatter, it is stressed on student’s feelings and emotions brought out to implement a cooperative democratic climate.•An acceptable class behavior is one that is kept highly interested and engaged in the activity.•Teachers should provide enthusiasm,excitement, student choice, responsibility, and cooperative learning.•Focus on self control rather than control imposed by the teacher.•Encourage students to become teachers of others bringing out increased decision making and responsibility. Along with a community sense in the classroom.•Make the students feel welcome. Develop trust between the students and the teacher.•Give out genuine praise to generate trust. And self esteem.•Give students an opportunity to create their own environment. (i.e. allow students to choose their own seating, allow them to help in desk arrangements best for learning math, group work?? Few distractions in front – attn spanlimited. Delegate a side of room for student work, one wall for news briefings etc. enthusiasm!!!•Keep lessons enjoyable and worthwhile make connections to everyday life. Apply!!•HUMOR is always welcome for making students feel welcome and comfortable. Use it appropriately, especially for teenagers. •Show a genuine INTEREST in their work, Never be cruel, acknowledge good behavior.•Teenagers are easily influenced, be a positive influence.
