rather then bring you down. Benefits come in many forms but the one I am referring to is the personal benefit, which will later benefit society. A personal benefit will help you understand yourself as well as give you a clear picture of your surroundings. Without a clear understanding of yourself our others one is prone to stereotypes, false presumption, and invalid conclusions of the world around you. First you must understand yourself then you can understand others. With these two types of understandings one will benefit their own life.In order to support a society and daily lives of the citizens in the society there must be logic. Society is based on some fundamental logic. The decisions societies act upon must have sound reasoning in order to explore the consequences of their decisions. They must be able to process the premises and infer a logically correct conclusion. If the logic behind a society is invalid or flawed the society will cease to exist efficiently because the decisions made may eventually be immoral. Hence the earlier we learn logic the sooner we can be a productive citizen and provide society sound arguments that will benefit everyone.ValiditySyllogism:This syllogism is a valid, standard-form categorical syllogism. It is an example of Barbara (AAA), which contains two universal affirmative premises and a universal affirmative conclusion. Barbara (AAA) are valid if it uses figure 1 which is All M is P, All S is M, All S is P. M represents the middle term, S represents the subject, and P represents the predicate term. Copi (1998) states, “Inspecting the diagram that represents the two premises, we see that it does diagram the conclusion also. And from this fact we can conclude that AAA-1 is a valid syllogism” (p. 266). Also to validate this syllogism we can apply the “six essential rules for standard-form syllogisms and name the fallacy that results when each of these rules in broken....
