experiments and does not even care to try to learn from what he has done. This showing of recklessness and non devotion show that Frankenstein is not as good of a scientist as he thinks himself to be. His purpose is to be the father of a species that lives forever, and the monster that he creates can be viewed as his child. The monster has child like qualities because he shares some of the same qualities with his creator, or father like figure. Victor has given the monster aspects he wishes he had, most noticeable, immortality. But as humbling as an experience as this is, Victor feels as if the monster owes him something. He was not ready to handle all of the pressure that came with the burden of him knowing what he created...
