Lastly, training the sales force on promotion features and implementing a low-budget incentive program that builds team spirit among the residential sales force round out the effect on sales personnel. Agency and sales personnel would then be responsible for communicating the various services United has to offer through marketing channels as print media, cold calling, and radio and television advertisements. When sales representatives call on customers and companies, they will establish a time for the move. Services and any special requirements are discussed as well. With the moving industry being seasonal, encouragement and incentives to move during the off-peak season is emphasized. United’s customers need to be aware that with the summer months being such high-volume, service deficiencies may occur, leading to potential delays and customer dissatisfaction. This can have a negative impact on the household goods movement system. If a customer has delays or problems with their move, they may rate United low on their Customer Satisfaction surveys and cause a decline in overall business.The sociocultural influence of more women in the work force has led United to structure moves to all members of the household.
