Marketers are personally responsible for each and every action and therefore it is up to them to make appropriate decisions regarding the marketing strategies. A Marketer’s professional conduct is guided by four simple rules (American Marketing Association): 1. The basic rule of professional ethics: not knowingly to do harm; 2. The adherence to all applicable laws and regulation; 3. The accurate representation of their education, training and experience; and 4.
