e murdered in the same fashion. These witnesses had seen Bundy at Lake Sammamish Park during the time that one of his victims by the name of Ott and Naslund had disappeared. Bundy was placed on trail for the attempted kidnapping of Carol DaRonch but while waiting for his trial Bundy escaped. Upon escaping Bundy fled to Florida where he started his killing spree once again. On January 15,1978, Bundy stroke again. On the campus of Florida State University, Bundy launched another assault on four young women at the Chi Omega Sorority House. Bundy beaten and strangled the women to death and sodomized his victims. On one of his victims he bite off her nipples and bite her buttock. Two days later, Cheryl Thomas had been attacked, and t the crime scene police officer’s found a mask, this mask was linked to Bundy’s original killings. When the news of the crimes were broadcast across the United States, a police officer from the State of Washington called the police in Florida and told them “that he thought the guy who murdered the girls was Ted Bundy” (). A task force was soon assembled to find the suspected killer. The task force had forty investigators assigned to the case but after leads began to diminish, the numbers of officers were reduced to thirteen. On February 6, 1978, Bundy stole a two-year old white Dodge van in Tallahassee. On the 8th of February Bundy was sighted in Jacksonville, at the Nathan B. Forrest High School attempting to pick up fourteen-year-old Leslie Parmenter. The next morning at the Junior High School, Kimberly Diane Leach came up missing. That same night Bundy returned back to Tallahassee. Feeling the pressure of the investigation Bundy decided to flee.
