ion that the newly established Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) would keep their banking deposits safe. The early New Deal legislation also passed programs such as the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA), the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the Agriculture Adjustment Act (AAA), the National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA), the Public Works Administration (PWA), the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). These early measures displayed F.D.R.’s strengths as an economic leader.In 1935, the New Deal was still making progress. Between 1935 and 1936, significant acts were passed such as the Works Progress Administration (WPA), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), McKinzie 3and the Social Security Administration (SSA), which was the most famous act of 1935. Every one of these acts that were passed while F.D.R was in office, worked together, and eventually leads the United States out of the Great Depression. I feel that F.D.R.’s achievements transcend mere economic statistics. I believe that because of his leadership skills, the American people received hope and faith, which they were lacking before F.D.R. became president. During the country’s most severe 20th Century crisis, F.D.R. had the charisma and leadership to pull the nation out of the Great Depression, which leads me to believe that F.D.R. has been the most influential president of all time.Another Influential person who I feel is important to me was Henry Ford. Henry Ford was the first to design the automobile, which is known as the Model T. He started his life as an ordinary child from a middle class family in Dearborn, Michigan. It is said that Henry Ford had a major dislike for the family farm chores as an early child so he diverted his attention to mechanics. First, he invented the Quadricycle in 1896.
