The Most Influential People in th US

early 1900’s. His goal was to produce an automobile that was practical, affordable, and simple. The design of the Model T helped Ford fulfill this goal in 1908. This automobile was not only affordable for most of the middle-class people, but it was durable enough to handle the rough roads of that time period. The demand for the Model T was overwhelming which lead Ford to design a plan, which would speed up the production of the vehicle. He introduced what we know of today as the continuing moving assembly line. This method proved to be much faster and he was able to lower the cost of each vehicle, which in turn made the Model T more affordable for almost everyone. Today, a form of this method is widely used in the production of almost all industries in the world. Just about every type of mechanical device is developed on an assembly line. Ford was known as a pioneer in the production of mass goods for human consumption. I feel that without this type of production, goods would be much more expensive in society and the demand would out-weigh the supply. In today’s society, we deal with people from different ethnic groups and different races, which lead me to thank Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for integration. I feel that M.L.K.Jr., was very influential to society because he was one of the principal leaders of the American civil rights movement and a prominent McKinzie 4advocate of nonviolent protest. King’s challengers to segregation and racial discrimination in the 1950’s and 1960’s helped convince many white Americans to support the cause of civil rights in the United States.Martin Luther King Jr., was born in Atlanta, Georgia. His father served as pastor of a large Atlanta church, which led King Jr. into Baptist ministry at age 18. King entered college at age 15 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 1948.
