7 says, it is appointed for men once to die and after this the judgement (NASB). It does not say it is appointed for men to die then get another chance then die again and then go to Heaven. No, the Bible clearly states that after death we are judged. When someone makes the wrong decision about Christ, then He will be sent to Hell. The Bible claims that none of these views are true. The Bible claims that there will be eternal pain and torment in Hell. Mark 9:48-9 describes Hell as a place where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. Everyone is salted with fire Lygrisse 6(KJV). This clearly states that the worm and the fire are eternal. When something will not die, then it has to be eternal, and Matthew 25:46 states that the wicked will go into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life (KJV). Furthermore, the Bible says [The wicked] shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might (KJV). These are just three of the many verses in the Bible supporting the traditionalist view of Hell (Fudge 1). Clearly the Bible states that Hell is eternal. Aside from the Bible, Mary Baxter wrote a book called A Divine Revelation of Hell. In this book she claims that Jesus took her on a sort of a tour through Hell. She describes Hell almost exactly like the Bible describes it. She tells of the worms that tormented the lost souls and the fire that surrounded the people did not consume the worms. She claims that she saw people that had been in Hell for thousands of years. If Hell was temporary, then those people would not still be in Hell.Hell is eternal and painful, but God did leave a way out for us. The Bible tells of a story where God sent His own Son to earth to take away our sins. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (four books of the Bible) all tell of how the Son of God Jesus Christ accomplished this task. Jesus was born of a virg...
