What makes a hero

is very historically accurate. Spielberg gives people the chance to learn about a person whom most likely, if not otherwise informed, they would not know about. It serves as a testimony to the things that are good and kind about human nature, and as a testimony to the evil that lie in men’s hearts.Schindler might not be the average hero, but to the descendants of those people he saved, he is. Spielberg took on an immense task when he decided to make this moved. He needed to make it truthful and historically correct, and he also had to try to make it non-biased. He also had to find a way to make this movie something that even those who say, “It doesn’t involve me”, or “It has nothing to do with me” would go and see. He had to find a way to do all of this while still making a movie that would not scare away viewers. The end result of this undertaking is a movie that won several Oscars, including Best Picture, and a movie to be remembered for a long time to come. Remembering Schindler’s deeds is very important for many reasons: first, he saved lives that otherwise would have been destroyed by one of the most evil men in history. Second, it serves as a testimony to the fact that sometimes it is right to go against what the rest of the people around you are doing. Many people wonder how hope can survive during such atrocities. The way it survives is through kind hearts and souls. If more people were willing to put themselves out for others, and actually care for their fellow people, things like the Holocaust would not happen....
