adjustment knob only, bring the specimen into focus. 12.In plate 2 draw a picture of the letter “d” as seen with the high-power objective lens. Note the magnification.13.To switch to the medium-power objective lens look from the side and revolve the nosepiece so that medium-power objective lens clicks into place. Using the fine adjustment knob only, bring the specimen into focus.14.In plate 3 draw a picture of the letter “d” as seen with the medium-power objective lens. Note the magnification. Results: To see the results of the lab experiment see attached page. Discussion: Under the microscope the letter “d” would do many things, like if the specimen “letter “d” was under the low-power objective lens the “d” would actually go backwards and make a “p”. Under the medium-power objective lens the “d” or now a “p” would come closer and you could see more of the particles of the paper. If the objective lens was on high-power on then the ink blots forming the letter “d” and very small particles of the paper could be observed. Specimens under the microscope should be observed very carefully because if the specimen was moved to the right it would look like it was moving to the left, that is opposite movement. Other examples of this is are:1.If the letter “d” is placed in reading position under the microscope it will look like the letter “p”.2.If the organism moves towards the top and to the right it actually is moving to the left and then to the bottom. When making a wet-mount slide you have to be careful not to trap any air bubbles inside the covreslip, so using the forceps the coverslip should be placed on the side of the specimen on a 45-degree angle then slowly and carefully the coverslip should be brought down. Also when making a wet-mount slide the object should be thin enough so the light can go thro...
