Russian propaganda was used to show how great communism was and how great Russian ideals were. While Stalin was in power the people had no power but Russia still rose to a world power . Document 8 shows that industrial output rose more than five times from 1913 to the late 1930's. By 1937 Russia was Europe's leader industrial production and was second in the world. The work force increased three times between 1928 to 1940. Not only did Russia's technical advances grow, but education also expanded, woman's responsibilities grew, especially since all citizens had to work, and unemployment did not exist.Stalin's Five Year Plans worked. But individual liberties did not exist. Stalin was the ruler, king, and dictator. He controlled everything and everyone. There was no room to question his decisions and his policies.
