Since the drug war started in the 1960’s crime has become much more fierce. The only other time our country has seen crime of this aptitude was during prohibition. Another important point Browne speaks about is that for the government to ban alcohol during prohibition they had to amend the constitution. If they had to make an amendment for alcohol then why didn’t they have to, in order to make drugs illegal? Having this been said, all of the drug laws are illegal and the government has no right to enforce them. Harry Browne’s plan on drugs will make the United States a stronger and safer country.Harry Browne is a true believer in the second amendment, the right to bear arms. Most politicians today want to add to the 20,000 gun laws that are already on the books, but what does one more law mean, except for less rights for the common citizen. A question we need to ask ourselves is whom do these laws affect, do they affect the criminals, or do they affect law abiding people? According to Harry Browne, these laws affect both sides because “Gun control makes the world safer for criminals and less safe for you.” The way the laws are today, the criminals have the apparent upper hand. Gun control laws don’t apply to criminals or stop gun violence. They only make it a great deal harder for innocent people to defend themselves, which encourages criminals to take advantage of us. When Harry Browne gets elected, he plans to clean up the mess made by gun control. He will simply repeal all of the gun laws and truly give the people back their second amendment rights.Harry Browne has very strong views about the social security system. He believes that it is out of control and will continue to be so until it collapses...
