Harry Browne

. Since social security was started in 1935, the tax has increased seven fold to a whopping 15% and he believes this will continue to grow. Browne’s proposed solution is to get rid of social security. By doing so people will be able to invest that money into private retirement funds, which will yield a far greater return. But there are people who still depend on social security and Browne will not let them drown in financial troubles. He intends to “sell trillions of dollars worth of unneeded, unconstitutional federal assets to finance the purchase of private retirement accounts for those who are dependent on Social Security. This would give older Americans guaranteed contracts with private companies that have never broken their promises -- unlike the U.S. Congress.” This plan is very effective because everyone comes out a winner. Another big point is that the younger generations will pay into the system their whole lives and possibly never get a dime back. Harry Browne is the only presidential candidate who acknowledges the problem and proposes to do something about it.Harry Browne is the only candidate that wants to lessen the role that government plays. He thinks that we should go back to what our founding fathers intended for our country. A country where people have the right to make their own decisions depending on what is best for them. Harry Browne wants to have a government that is not reckless and overbearing, just small enough to fit its constitutional requirements. Harry Browne has shown us that government should not rule our lives through his strong views on drugs, guns, and social security. Harry Browne is the only intelligent choice for president.
