The canadian bureaucracy

e quick and logical responses that fit with the mandate theCanadian people have given the government. The question is do these organs,departments, entities support and respect that mandate. The government body controlled by its head. This is a logical and clearexplanation that promotes calm and complacency within the populous; the environmentthis body regulates every day. Simply stated this system works. Taxes are collected,murderers are incarcerated, and the roads are clear of snow. The question to be addressedtoday is more detailed than that. Does the bureaucracy have the ability to distort ourdemocracy. It would seems unlikely to say yes to such a question, as it must be stated thatthe bureaucracy is composed of a broad cross section of the Canadian population. Itseems contradictory to say that a large group of Canadians would work towardsundermining our countries democratic process, but it is a very real possibility. We aredealing with a large group of men and women, each with individual thoughts, fears, andgoals. There is a great danger hidden within our system. Even a slight infection of ourcurrent system could easily spread from organ to organ, cell to cell, until it controls theentire body, leaving the head separated and powerless. There are no clear safeguards inplace to protect our leaders from dis-information. The house of commons is a paper tigerthat can enact legislation but not protect the legislations integrity. Even the Bureaucracyitself can be seen as unable to control its many parts. To prove weakness in such astructure one must hypothesize. The hypothetical tool shall be an infection, a grave one. Itwill be shown that the wishes of the Canadian politicians and voters can easily be swayedby those within the rank and file order of our government.
