alive and dead; they will be transformed and glorified. This rapture could happen at any moment. Following these events, "the rapture of all God's people occurs; risen believers and transformed believers are caught up in the clouds to meet the descending Lord in the air" (Hoekema 189). The people that are mentioned are believers - the church, they will proceed into heaven for seven years for the celebration of the feast of the Lamb. The following major sections of events can be broken into six sections: 1. Satan/Anti-Christ is unleashed to do as he pleases.2. Terrible judgments fall on the inhabitants of the earth.3. The 144,000 pre-marked Jews will accept Christ as their Savior.p44. The 144,000 will begin to preach the "Gospel of the Kingdom".5. Many Gentiles will be brought to salvation.6. All kings of the earth will join together and attack the people of God - - Armageddon. (Hoekema 190) These events occur during the seven year period; subsequently, Christ will again return, this time to destroy all who oppose Him, ending the battle at Armageddon; and many Israelites will come to Christ's salvation through it. It is at this point that the dispensationalist applies the millennium - - the thousand years. Satan will be bound and cast into the abyss and held there for a thousand years; during which Christ will reign on earth. This time is also known as the golden age (which I defined previously). The unbelieving dead will be raised, judged and cast into the lake of fire. Then the new heaven and the new earth will be constructed. The church will remain in heaven (Blaising 183), and Israel and the Gentiles remain on earth for a millennial Kingdom (184). Thus, it is safe to assume that the dispensationalist has two "golden ages" happening at the same time. Conclusion Earlier in this section I presented my understanding of the dispensational premillennial view, I did this because I felt that t...
