I discovered that in the United States about 1.6 million pregnancies end in abortion, and it is one of the safest surgeries. Various studies and research have indicated that in America, one-baby dies every 22 seconds and that 3,900 abortions are preformed everyday. At least 30% of all pregnancies are now ended by abortions. 46% of American women over the age of 45 have had an abortion. 95% of abortions are done because of social reasons, which include rape, incest or health problems. Women that have abortions increase their risk of miscarriage and breast cancer. The data that I collected from my interview was that 50% believe that abortion is murder, 38% believe that it isnt murder and 12% dont care. When asked if abortion is sometimes the best course in a bad situation, 60% said no, 32% said yes and 8% didnt care. The most important question that I asked was whether having an abortion is more of an issue to control a womens body or the life of the fetus; 44% it is control of the body, 45% said the life of the fetus and 11% said it is a matter of personal choice. With the right to choose abortion, women are able to enjoy, like men, the rights to fully use the powers of their minds and bodies.(Patricia Lunneborg) My research lead me to conclude that personal choice of abort...
