ment, religion helps to ensure the embodiment of values in actual behavior. Atheists are in a group of deviance that is voluntary, which means it is not a condition but a behavior. They are in a subculture which is specifically at odds with the larger culture. The larger culture here doesnt necessarily have a specified religion or belief but it is the idea that they have a belief that is centered around the way they live their life that makes atheists known as non-conformers. They live their lives without a set of morals that are given to them in the context of a religion, but they have their own in born morals that they follow. Some may think that they are in a deviant organization because they are in a group that openly chooses to defy the society norms. It is the larger society that created the norm of having a religion so because atheists are the minority, their ideas are largely opposed and seen as defiance. Atheism is not individualistic, but collective because their ideas are carried out in a group....
