Students gained attention, worked off of it resulting in behavior that only got worse.•Should have done way more investigation on her kids before the first day, as well as after the first day. Should have been more prepared to handle the misbehaviors. Never took into consideration that it was as a result of her teacher behavior. Instead she assumed that her kids were on drugs, had problems out of school etc.•In talking to parents, she should have had them come to school to actually meet with her istead of an informal phone call. •SHOULD HAVE•Gone thru with afterschool detention for extreme misbehaviors, make an impact even if it means missing a sporting event for some kids. Teach them a lesson so that they learn an improved behavior.•Student that answered about the Alotoya should have been given more praise and encouragement for doing well. She could have worked off of this student to gain attention from the entire class. Other students were probably impressed and would have been interested to learn more. Instead she said they would touch upon it at a later date. •Treated them like babies, never gave them a voice in rules. They couldn’t follow directions, and she put them down, offended them. •Should have had a better discipline plan, needed to be more flexible. •No positive reinforcement whatsoever in the class. No encouragement to participate and cooperate.
