ss you could say because you only get so many chances in life before your luck runs out.One author that comments on the Heart Of Darkness is Chinua Achebe. This person talks mainly about the geographical elements in the story and about the history of the setting. They comment that basically this story kind of depreciates human value and goes very deep into the mind of an estranged person. One type of person who you don’t see very often and the acts that this person does cannot be justified by all human beings.Stephen Crane’s analysis of The Open Boat is basically just a short story of what kind of happened before the lifeboat and what was going on during the whole ordeal. He explains that the whistle was going off on the steamer and everybody was fleeing about. The oiler was the last one to leave the ship besides the captain and I guess that the oiler was the one who died and that’s where I get confused. I think that the author of The Open Boat saw that most people would figure that the captain would be the first one to die. There fore I am not going to change my paper just because I read this fact that would be to easy. I think that it is more important to show what type of mindset I was in when I finished the story. Like most people I figured the Captain died because of all of the stories that I’ve heard in the past dealing with issues like this. You never really concentrate on the others as much as I didn’t take them into consideration either. Therefore it is important to show my thought process....
