Hocking College can move along with this if the strategies listed in this report arefollowed. ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, and many other major companies are following the digitalsteps and are running right along with the digital world. JVC Professional Products has developed Digital-S to show a how high quality digital video taperecording system can be offered at an affordable cost for all users. JVC has applied new digitalvideo technologies to the development of Digital-S, a new digital video tape recording system forprofessional and a great assortment of high quality video productions. The new Digital-S systemproves three major things: almost perfect picture quality and performance that results from digitalvideo recording; a very high quality cheap video recording for professional video producers; andplayback option that doesnt lose any generations. The outcome is Digital-S, is a new professionalvideo tape recording format that combines all the advantages of digital audio and video recordingwith an unreal costDigital S uses 1/2 inch metal particle tape that is in a case that looks like a regular vhs tape.Details of the Digital-S video tape track pattern are shown in the figure 3 that follows. One frameof video is recorded on ten tracks . The digital video signal, digital audio signals, and subcode, arewritten in the helical tracks, the diagonal tracks on the picture, are recorded by the rotating heads.Edit gaps are provided between sectors to allow for independent editing of each section.
