Once such a supply was established, itcame to be used for drinking water and for private bath house as well.12 The Aqueducts werebuilt along and ran on the ground level or were buried just below the surface. The water that wasbrought to Rome through the aqueducts was also used in public drinking water fountains. Thisawesome type of architecture that the Romans created and which is still in use today was not onlyuseful or just built to hold a major event. The buildings and aqueducts were piece of art, that aare aesthetically pleasing still today. Along with the great architecture of the Romans, art workwas also at a high point during the Pax Romana. Although most of the art work in Rome at thetime was based solely on the Greek style, very little original art work came out of Rome at thistime. Many Roman copies of Greek statues were created and made to believe that they wereoriginally Greek. The Romans like many other great civilizations put a great effort in to thedevelopment of art work, but the many difference was that the Romans just replicated the style ofthe Greeks. Along with the major Roman achievements in architecture, art, and literature there wheremany great achievement in the creation of Roman Law. Some of the Roman laws we still usetoday in the western world (the US and Europe). The development began early in RomanHistory, with the Praetors ( the principal judicial magistrates).13 The Praetors, began bypublishing the laws that they entered on enforcing. The Roman laws were intended to reach thefurthest most Roman. According to Roman law now, Roman law applied to private affairs anyand everywhere.
