e stress? Everyone knows that music can soothe a person, but not very many people usually try to find out why. It's just a question that we, as people, usually don't act upon. The answer to this is actually pretty simple. There is a binary to binary exchange as music sets up a pattern in this vital brain center. The brain recognizes the pattern and follows it. All processing passing through this center is influenced by the designated pattern, or the music that is being listened to. As a result, relaxed patterns, or relaxed music, slows respiration rate, causes hands and feet to dilate and heat up, reduces blood pressure and muscle relaxation. If music is upbeat or angry the opposite occurs. Just like hearing Marilyn Manson in an elevator would make a person upset and get a little edgy (Lowenstein 3).In Holographic music, beats and rhythms are created to model ideal body functioning for heart and respiration. The brain causes the body to follow these rhythms and beats and as a result the body changes from an alert state to a deeply relaxed state and then back to a mild alertness as the beat and rhythms slightly increase for the closing. The two hemispheres of the brain synchronize. The constant chatter on the left hemisphere is quieted and the right hemisphere is able to expand and create. The flow of activity is smoother and better organized. That is why people describe their experience as being more balanced, more together and further heightened (Lowenstein 3).The registering of the carrier tones of Holographic music are processed in the superior olivary nucleus which is located in the medulla oblongata near the base of the skull. This is where several vital functions are controlled - Levels of Consciousness (alertness to sleep), respiration, blood circulation and swallowing. That is why holographic music can change the body's state of alertness or relaxation (Lowenstein 3).Music is in a sense a type of alternative medi...
