Popular PersonalityDevelopmental Theories

is I think is obvious. The feelings we have must beexpressed and released and we direct our feelings outward. This becomes our aggression toward others. Freud's viewon the mind is in the shape of an iceberg. He believes thatmankind's mind works in the unconscious, which I do notagree with at all I feel that man is mostly conscious when itcomes to behaviors. Every choice that mankind makes heis aware of, but maybe the consequences of our actionmight be unknown. The Structure of Personality which is another interestingpart of Freud's theory basically states that we have an ID, aSuperego and an Ego. The ID is a biological reservoir ofurges and impulses that need to be gratified. He says the IDdoes not have a conscious, it acts on instinct. It seeks outgratification and pleasure. It is the pleasure principle. TheSuperego is the Morality Principle, and the Superegoknows the difference between right and wrong.
