tepped forward in a leadership role to put together the information for the professor. At the beginning of the assignment, I saw that it was going to be important for someone to take the lead for the purpose of setting up a meting. I chose to nominate another member of the group, which meet my need for a leader, but put the burden on someone else. I say burden, but responsibility is more appropriate. It was my attempt to see if someone else would accept the challenge and step up.During the exercise, there was not a lot of conflict. There were times when some arose, but an interesting dynamic developed. When a point of contention arose, one member would qualify there input with some pedigree or other reason for being right and the other members deferred to qualifying member. Something along the lines of I did some work in chemistry about water retention in cells and the rest of the group bowed to the expertise. It really worked well and in the wash those examples held true.Area 3I think that I have always been a beneficial member of any group. My strong I style personality lends itself equally well to the support and leadership roles. Speaking of personality, I think that is the area of greatest interest to me in the course of this class study. I have always had an interest in these areas, but the in depth study on the Meyers-Briggs and the Extended DISC provided me with some important tools. I had an old Bible professor once that taught me what he called the language of accommodation. I have used this in all areas of my life. It actually is a string point in my personality. I tend to be talkative and a people-oriented, so it is a natural extension for me to speak to people in language they can understand. It puts people at ease.
