The Rebellion Dimension of the Drug Use Situation

ncreases then government pressure increases thus my independent and dependent variables will be mirrored. A second is absolutely no relationship at all and a third is that as government pressure increases then drug use increases. I predict that there will be a moderate relationship between drug use and government pressure with the government pressure being the cause and the drug use the effect. This is based upon the rebellion theory of drug use. Most drug users I predict use drugs as a method of rebellion and this will be tested by this study. As government increases its attempts then the “forbidden fruit” concept strengthens and so does drug use. As for statistical significance in the population or chi, this will only be used on the survey-based table I will include as an added indicator as to the importance of rebellion in motives to use drugs. A t-test will be performed on the drug statistic and government data because the sample will be less than 30. However, an F test may also be used because of the proximity of the sample to 30.Conclusion What are the motives for a person to try and or use illicit drugs? There are many factors and this study discusses the addition of a very important variable, rebellion. I will find that drug use actually increases due to increases in government pressure. This is due to the rebellion against the government’s attempts. My positive hypothesis was that as government increases its pressure the drug use increases. I will take data from the past 30-year since drugs became a force in society and find a pattern and test that pattern. With this I expect to find a moderate to high Pearson’s R measure as it will fit the regression line fairly tightly even though many other important variables will be dismissed for purposes of this study. This means that there will be strong evidence that the rebellion dimension of dug use should be considered a prime factor in drug use. Also I wi...
